Synopsis "Messy Hope"

Set in California's San Fernando Valley, a stay-at-home mom, a lesbian graduate student and a pastor find their lives intersecting in extraordinary ways as God assaults their comfort zones. -Alison, a stay-at-home mother of three, is in passionate pursuit of answers and finds herself plunged into leading a group of woman who infect their community with uncanny goodness accompanied with controversy. "Lord, I'm drowning! Why didn't you pick someone else?" -Bettina's encounters with Christ are sublimely satiating as well as comprehensively disruptive. "Jesus could mess up my entire life! What's Kristin going to think about this? My LGBT friends?" -Pastor Greg, despite his training and experience, grapples with his blind spots as Alison and Bettina's quests encroach on him and his congregation.
