Lucinda Riley (Lisburn, Northern Ireland, February 16, 1965 – June 11, 2021) was a British author and actress who captivated millions of readers with her historical fiction novels and family sagas. She began her artistic career as a theater and television actress, but an illness led her to discover her passion for writing at the age of 24, publishing her first novel in 1992. Her most famous work is the Seven Sisters series, inspired by Greek mythology and translated into more than 37 languages. Among her most recognized books are The Seven Sisters, The Orchid House, and The Forgotten Letter. Riley was nominated for awards such as the Bancarella (Italy) and the Lovely Books (Germany), and her legacy continues thanks to the television adaptation of her series and the posthumous publication of her last novel.
