Dieses Buch bietet eine umfassende Einführung in die Dermatophytose, ihre Ätiologie und ihre Erreger. Hier beschreiben wir ein neuartiges, auf Nanotechnologie basierendes System zur topischen Verabreichung von Medikamenten für eine erfolgreiche Behandlung der Dermatophytose. Die Dermatophytose ist eine topische Pilzinfektion, die weltweit die häufigste Ursache für Hautkrankheiten ist und im Allgemeinen unterschätzt und ignoriert wird. Sie wird in der Regel durch äu erst tödliche und keratinophile Pilze verursacht, die in keratinisiertes Gewebe eindringen und in den Mittelmeerländern verschiedene Tinea-Erkrankungen hervorrufen. Wir haben hier Nanofasern/Gerüste hergestellt, die mit einem Thiocarbamat-Derivat eingebettet sind, das zum ersten Mal als topisches Antimykotikum eingesetzt wird, um eine vollständige Beseitigung von Dermatophyten am Ort der Infektion zu erreichen. In diesem Zusammenhang wurden biokompatible Eudragit-Qualitäten (ERL100 und ERS100) ausgewählt, um eine bessere Adhäsion am Ort der Dermatophytose, eine umfassende Absorption von Exsudaten während der Behandlung und eine kontrollierte Wirkstofffreisetzung zu ermöglichen.
