Synopsis "Oiteagan on Iar (in Gaélico Escocés)"

John MacCormick was born on the Isle of Mull c. 1870. Through his life, he produced numerous short stories and some of the earliest known novels in Scottish Gaelic. The style of his writing has strong influences from the ceilidh house tradition, something that is also evident in this collection of short stories, first published in 1908.What exactly happened between Màiri and the Lowland joiner at the well and what verdict will the jury give? Will Iain return in time to play 'S leam fhèin an Gleann before his sweetheart marries someone else? And how will things turn out for Eachann who is currently tied to a tree, with a gun cocked at his chest, a rope on the trigger and the other end attached to a horse? This revised edition has been professionally edited and the Gaelic corrected in accordance with modem orthography.
