In diesem Buch werden mittels reflektierender Rekonstruktion organisationale Zusammenschlüsse von Nonprofit-Organisationen untersucht. Im Fokus steht die Frage, wie organisationale Zusammenschlüsse erfolgreich gestaltet werden können. Dabei stehen die sozialen Aspekte der Zusammenschlüsse im Vordergrund. Im ersten Teil wird die theoretische und methodologische Orientierung dargelegt. Dabei wird insbesondere auf Konzepte der Organisationskultur, Sozialkapital, Vertrauen und soziale Netzwerke sowie auf Giddens Strukturierungsansatz rekurriert. Im zweiten Teil folgt die Darstellung der empirischen Analyse, welche auf der Methode des teilstrukturierten Interviews von Beratungspersonen basiert. Im dritten Teil wird ein Modell der sozialen Faktoren bei organisationalen Zusammenschlüssen vorgestellt. Die aus der Untersuchung gewonnenen Empfehlungen orientieren sich stark an den Anforderungen der Praxis und sind als eine Art "best-practice-Konzepte" zu verstehen.
