In hoc libro, collegit et edidit opera eius editor Joannes Georgius Graevius. Graevius opera Statii ad optimas editiones collata, id est, ad optimas editiones comparata, quae antea exstant, ut textus emendatior et accuratior efficeretur. Opera quae in hoc libro continentur includunt Thebaidem, Achilleidem, Silvas, et Epigrammata. Thebaida est epica poemata de conflictu inter fratres Eteoclem et Polynicem, qui regnum Thebarum petebant. Achilleis est poemata de vita et morte Achillis, heros Graecorum in Troiano bello. Silvae sunt poemata minora, quae varia themata continent. Epigrammata sunt brevia poemata, quae ad diversos homines et res scribuntur.
