After working two years in a foreign country, security specialist Jack McMain returns home fearful for his family's safety and too ashamed to let anyone know exactly how much danger his careless mistake may have brought to their doorstep. Jack soon discovers a lot has changed since he left, including his own security company. Not one to concern himself with the daily workings of their company, Jack is caught off guard when he discovers his brother has brought on an unexpected business partner and their irrefutable weakest link. Mia Daniel is a phenom when it comes to dealing with people and contract negotiations, but is completely oblivious and unprepared when it comes to protecting herself from the dangers Jack's enemies pose. Providing Mia with the information and training needed to survive would require Jack to admit just how terribly he'd failed in Iraq.
