Synopsis "Postlude for a Murder"

It is 1966 and thirteen-year-old Adella Sorenson braces herself for a dreadful summer with her pompous old aunt in a dreary mansion set in the storybook hills of northeast Pennsylvania. Boredom is soon dissolved with the discovery of a rigid corpse underneath the kitchen sink and the arrest of Aunt Alice's future son-in-law, Thomas. Ignoring the warnings of Inspector Axel Webb, Adella is determined to prove Thomas's innocence. Danny, the neighbor boy, offers his sleuthing skills to help Adella narrow down the swirling entanglement of suspects. When her life and the lives of her parents are in danger, Adella realizes that she has ventured way over her head into the world of crime.
