Primera novela policial de Roberto Ampuero en la que presenta al detective cubano Cayetano Brulé. Cayetano Brulé es un detective privado y está orgulloso de serlo. Detrás de la muerte de Cristián Kustermann, el detective se hallará de bruces con una red subversiva con nexos en la antigua Alemania Oriental y en la Cuba de Fidel Castro. Roberto Ampuero Espinoza (Valparaíso, 1953) is a distinguished Chilean writer, journalist, and politician, mainly known for his series of detective novels featuring Cayetano Brulé, which have left a significant mark on Latin American noir literature. His life was marked by exile after the 1973 coup, an experience he captured in works like Nuestros años verde olivo, highly valued by critics and writers. In addition to his literary work, Ampuero has held significant public positions, such as Minister of Culture, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and ambassador to Spain, contributing a cosmopolitan and committed perspective from politics.
