She later served as Chief of Staff for the Montgomery Police Department, where she oversaw day-to-day operations, policy development, budget administration, and strategic management.A doctoral candidate at Gwynedd Mercy University, Brickus also holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore City Community College, and the University of Maryland University College.
