Kees van Aalst es un artista visual neerlandés cuya pasión por el color, la forma y la fluidez lo ha consolidado como un guía inspirador para pintores contemporáneos. Especialista en técnicas con medios a base de agua—como acuarela, gouache y acrílico—desarrolló un estilo que desafía lo literal y lo figurativo. Su obra invita a ver lo reconocible a través de pinceladas que respiran: es ese fascinante “espacio gris” entre lo realista y lo abstracto que despierta la imaginación.

Su libro Realistic Abstracts (2010) sintetiza esa filosofía: enseña a dejar de copiar la realidad al pie de la letra y, en cambio, traducirla en atmósferas, emociones y ritmos visuales. Dirige talleres, imparte cursos y trabaja por encargo, compartiendo un enfoque suelto, imaginativo y libre para pintar.
