Synopsis "Refusing to Grow"

REFUSING TO GROW"Refusing to Grow" follows the life of Nurse Vee, a compassionate and dedicated pediatric nurse whose extraordinary care for her patients earns her widespread admiration. Nurse Vee's kindness and skill make her a champion for children at the hospital, but she harbors a deep personal fear: growing old. To combat her aging anxieties, she spends much of her income on beauty products and obsessively maintains a youthful appearance."Refusing to Grow" is a heartfelt story of self-acceptance, blending humor, humanity, and the challenges of reconciling outward appearances with inner fears. Through Nurse Vee's journey, readers are reminded of the value of embracing one's authentic self while continuing to shine in the lives of others.ABOUT AUTHORThe author of Act of Kindness, Vera Adjin, was born in Ghana, West Africa in a small town called Apowa. The life in Africa was difficult, as most parts of the world would know, as the person had to walk miles to get water for the family. Vera Adjin was no stranger to that, as the author had to walk around 8 miles round trip to fetch for water. The author would attend elementary school in 1965, migrate to the USA, and attend college there. This move eventually concluded with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a university in New Jersey.
