Synopsis "Royal Flush and Black Sunday: When the 408th Bomb Squadron lost the crew of the Royal Flush and were discovered 60 years later."

An amazing story of eleven men from all over the United States who joined the United States Army Air Forces in WWII. Their plane went missing on "Black Sunday" April 16, 1944 and was not found until 2002. The crew was buried in Arlington National Cemetery almost exactly 62 years later. This book follows Elgin Luckenbach and the rest of his crew men from their home towns to the South West Pacific Area flying for the 5th Army Air Forces. It describes some of the battles they were in, the tragic last flight, the discovery of the plane and the DNA analysis and return home after 62 years.
