Synopsis "Silencia (in Spanish)"

The book begins with a question a young boy asks his mother “Where do stars hide during the day?” She responds by telling her son to ask the Silence. Throughout the book, the song of silence reveals different situations in which these stars are hidden. With poetic and delicate prose, in the manner of a haiku, Nina Da Lua takes readers on a tour of pain, separation, friendship, hope, and dreams. A reading guide is included to help instill the concepts introduced in the text.   El libro parte de una pregunta que el hijo le hace a su madre: «¿Dónde se esconden las estrellas cuando se hace de día?», y de la propuesta de ella de preguntarlo al silencio. · «Silencia», la canción del silencio, les desvelará diferentes situaciones en las que se esconden estas estrellas. · Con una prosa poética y delicada, a la manera de los haikús, Nina da Lua hace un recorrido por el dolor, la separación, la amistad, las heridas, las jaulas, los sueños y la esperanza..., por todas aquellas situaciones «silenciosas» donde se esconden las estrellas. · Las ilustraciones de Gemma Capdevila constituyen otro poema visual totalmente metafórico, con su paleta de azules y marrones de acuarela, mezclados con un lápiz multicolor, que van dibujando figuras de papiroflexia que cruzan todas las páginas. · La «Guía de lectura» ayuda a profundizar en los conceptos introducidos en el texto y propone un juego en forma de adivinanzas que, uniendo puntos, permite trazar una grulla, la protagonista del cuento. · Este libro constituye una buena introducción al mundo poético y simbólico e invita a pequeños y mayores a contemplar la vida y abrirse al silencio.
