Sit With Us is a short collection of immeasurable worth, capturing oral and ceremonial traditions in the Nishinaabe tongue as can be translated into written English. Included are a sacred pipe ceremony - side by side in Nishinaabemowin and English, a whimsical, traditional short story, a story of gratitude, and ending with a side by side translation of The Lord's Prayer into Nishinaabemowin by one of the few remaining first speakers of this beautiful, deeply connected language.
