JUAN RAMÓN TORREGROSA TORREGROSA (Guardamar del Segura, Alicante, 1955) holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a PhD in Theory of Literature and Art and Comparative Literature from the University of Granada. For over thirty-five years, he has worked as a high school teacher in various institutes, an experience that inspired his work of micro-stories, grammatical tales, and other verbal devices Loción de lengua (Málaga, 2020)
He is the author of poetry books such as Sol de siesta (Granada, 1996), Sombras del olvido (Alicante, 2003), La soledad siguiendo (Sevilla, 2008), Cancela insomne (Alicante, 2013), Concierto de contrarios (Granada, 2017), finalist in the Literary Criticism Awards of the Valencian Community, and Consonante materia (Cartagena, 2019)
He has also written plays like Sanchica y Aldonza, mozas andantes, premiered by the company Yorick Teatre in February 2017, and published critical editions of works by Benjamín Jarnés, Alejandro Casona, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Gabriel Miró, Miguel Hernández, and Federico García Lorca.
Furthermore, he is the author of several poetic anthologies for children and youth such as Arroyo claro, fuente serena, La rosa de los vientos, Antología de la lírica amorosa, and Las cuatro estaciones. Invitación a la poesía. He is also co-author of several textbooks for Baccalaureate.
