Synopsis "Some Complaints About Time"

These poems pause time, squeezing decades into syllables, by close observation of what the poet sees every day. Composed of small truths rigorously proclaimed, this book describes repeated attempts to connect to the world. As these narrative excursions reveal, the speaker ventures forth despite nagging doubts. In spheres both domestic and wild, the poet embodies alternate selves and misunderstood monsters with a fondness for the uncanny and a playful sense of wonder.
