Die Auswahl kostengünstiger und verfügbarer Rohstoffe für die Biodieselproduktion im Land ist das Hauptanliegen. Reiskleieöl ist ein relativ preiswerter und verfügbarer Rohstoff für die Biodieselproduktion, da Indien der zweitgrö te Reisproduzent der Welt ist. Reiskleieöl- und Diethylether-Mischungen können als Zusatzkraftstoff in Kompressionszündungsmotoren verwendet werden. Der Motor arbeitet mit der Reiskleieöl- und Diethylether-Mischung auf ähnliche Weise wie mit Dieselkraftstoff, wie in den Daten zur Motorstabilität überprüft wurde.
