Synopsis "The Cloud Collector"

Luna Is Going to Catch a Cloud TodayLuna loves clouds. The big fluffy ones. The wispy ones high up. The grumpy gray ones that turn into rain. When Grandpa Chen gives her a butterfly net for her birthday, she has a plan. She is going to collect them. One by one. Into her glass jar.The meadow is patient. The clouds, less so. Luna climbs the rock. She asks the tree. She kneels with her jar held to the sky. And when the rain comes, she catches drops instead. Then Grandpa shows her something on the porch - a jar with a painted cloud inside - and tells her the gentle secret that everyone who has ever loved something they could not keep needs to learn.A picture book about wonder, gratitude, and the gentler way of loving the world. With dandelion seeds, a sleepy cumulus, and a grandfather who knows exactly when to listen and exactly when to speak.Perfect for: read-aloud, conversations about letting go, nature observation, grandparent-grandchild bonding, ages 3 to 7.From the Eva Gallo Collection. A portion of proceeds supports the Sen Yakaar Foundation.
