Synopsis "The Couch"

"The Couch" is the story of Stephany Lux a clinical psychologist, who specializes in hypnosis therapy. Stephany was on the brink of a breakthrough in treating patients with PTSD while completing her Master's Degree at Harvard University in 2003. An experiment gone horribly wrong led to Stephany being excommunicated from Harvard and resulted in her being driven to seek revenge against those who've done her wrong. New York Police detective John Story and his partner Ray Jensen are working a case that has eerily similar traits to a case detective Story worked while he was working the CSI department in upstate Mercy Creek New York some years earlier but when the Mercy Creek Killer becomes one of the latest victims in his case it completely throws him off the trail. Meanwhile, Stephany has hatched a plot for her revenge with a breakthrough in her hypnosis therapy. Her newest patient Tony Carcelli, an Iraq War veteran from Mercy Creek, has given her an unprecedented avenue to carry out her plans. Little does she know that Tony has ulterior motives to "use" her services for his own plans. What follows next is a pulse pounding account of deception and betrayal that leads all the way to the President of the United States.
