I am not a scientist or nutritonist, a keep-fit fanatic or a paid celebrity. I am a Mum of four who has struggled with eating and weight. I don't think as a twenty something you fully appreciate your flattish tummy and gravity defying boobs. Then you have children; and boy does the laws of gravity and elastasine change. I needed to lose weight, nearly five stone of baby fat had to go; but getting help was tough. Then I had a suggestion- a low carbohydrate diet. My change was very quick to those watching, once I found the way of eating that suited me I 'melted'. Since this so many people have asked me to write down what I can eat, what I don't and to share my recipes. They are practical for a busy Mum, tasty, and yes I lost 7lbs in the first week! All 'wind an' w'ater' as my granny would say, but I felt less bloated and very positive. I have now lost nearly four stone since I started this low carb way of eating. It has given me and my system the kick start it needed.
