Synopsis "The Girl Who Fell From the Sky"

The Girl Who Fell From the Sky: A heart-warming story written and illustrated by students at The Skinners' Kent Academy. With every chapter translated into different languages; a truly multi-disciplinary project.

Primrose was off on a summer holiday adventure, flying alone for the first time to visit her Grandma in Cape Town, South Africa. But she never arrived and her adventure truly began when she fell out of the sky. The only survivor, and completely all alone, she had to try and find a way to safety.

Tzari, wanting to be a big hunter like his big brothers (and lured by the aroma of prawn cocktail crisps) captured this strange yellow-haired girl, and took her back to his village.

Gradually, they learned a way to communicate and begin to trust each other.

"A delightful story, beautifully illustrated, with the skilful translations adding immensely to its appeal." Griselda Heppel, author of Ante's Inferno, children's winner of the People's Book Prize.

This was a joint, multi-disciplinary project undertaken by the International Book Club at The Skinners' Kent Academy.
