Erin Morgenstern (Marshfield, Massachusetts, July 8, 1978) is an American writer and artist specializing in literary fantasy. Graduated in Theater and Studio Art from Smith College, she achieved international success with The Night Circus (2011), awarded the Locus Award and the Alex Award. Her second novel, A Sea Without Stars (2019), solidified her reputation for her visual and evocative style.
