Synopsis "The Same Sandwich"

The Same SandwichFinn likes things the same.Especially his sandwich.Soft white bread. Smooth peanut butter. No crusts. Cut into perfect triangles. But when one small change makes lunchtime feel too loud and overwhelming, Finn struggles to explain what is happening inside.Through a journey of understanding, listening and kindness, Finn learns that his needs matter-and that he doesn't have to face difficult moments alone. The Same Sandwich is a gentle, heartfelt story about sensory differences, food preferences, anxiety and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).With a message for children, families and educators, this book encourages empathy, acceptance and supportive conversations about the things that help us feel comfortable. It offers an opportunity to explore how children experience food differently and why listening without judgement matters.Because sometimes, wanting the same thing is perfectly okay. And everyone deserves to be listened to.
