Synopsis "The SAT Pack"

Scotland is not, like England and Wales, and many countries worldwide, a common law jurisdiction: the Scottish legal system is based in large part on Roman law. Criminal law in Scotland is administered by a Public Prosecutor. The prime holder of this office is the Lord Advocate, who with the Solicitor General and Advocates Depute (collectively known as Crown council), prosecutes on behalf of the Crown for the High Court of the Judiciary. These officials preside at Edinburgh but sit on a regular Circuit of the major Scottish towns. In each Sheriffdom the Lord Advocate appoints a Procurator Fiscal. Lieb Canavan is the District Procurator Fiscal for Perthshire, Angus & Dundee and he's leading the investigation of a particular viscous pack of males who sexually assault & torture their victims - the SAT Pack. But this investigation has not only been brutal on the victims and their families, but also on the team around Lieb, most notably himself.
