Rhys Jenkins lives a miserable and lonely life. Abandoned by his father at an early age, he suffers with a rare and debilitating disorder that restricts him from leaving home. He can't find work, friends, or love. He's a recluse, content reading his Jules Verne novels and listening to Brian Eno in the sanctuary of his bedroom.
