Synopsis "The Twits "

From the bestselling author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG! Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the smelliest, nastiest, ugliest people in the world. They hate everything--except playing mean jokes on each other, catching innocent birds to put in their Bird Pies, and making their caged monkeys, the Muggle-Wumps, stand on their heads all day. But the Muggle-Wumps have had enough. They don't just want out, they want revenge.

(Wales, 1916 - Oxford, 1990) Roald was born into a wealthy family of Norwegian origin. At the age of four, he lost his father and at seven, he came into contact with the strict British educational system, which he reflected in books like Matilda and Boy. After finishing high school, he started working at the Shell company in Africa, where he was caught by the Second World War. After brief training, he became a pilot for the Royal Air Force. He was assigned to Washington, where he began writing about his war adventures. His foray into the world of children's literature was motivated by the stories he told his four children. His first work was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He also wrote scripts for movies and some of his works have been adapted into films.
