LAKENHEATH WARREN is the fourth volume of the six-book series entitled The Woodsman of Anglia. It sets forth the next forty-four "shewings" of the Woodsman, a Christian mystic who resided in the latter half of 15th-century pre-Reformation England in that section of Northwest Suffolk, England, known as the Brecklands. The time period is set following the lives of Julian of Norwich and Margery Kempe. In this book, the Woodsman has become a caretaker of a rabbit warren. In the eight year of the "shewings," Lakenheath includes some of the most engaging and impressive moments of the series, such as the "Castle," the "If I am Able," "Joseph's Dream," and especially "Dung Dealer." Building on the earlier Brandon Shewings, Gyr Cot, and Eriswell, Lakenheath deepens the exploration of God's incomprehensible love.
