THETFORD ROAD is the fifth volume of the six-book series entitled The Woodsman of Anglia. It sets forth the next forty-four "shewings" of the Woodsman, a Christian mystic who resided in the latter half of 15th-century pre-Reformation England in that section of Northwest Suffolk, England, known as the Brecklands. The time period is set following the lives of Julian of Norwich and Margery Kempe. In the ninth year of the "shewings," Thetford Road presents a deepening course of instructions the Woodsman experiences, such as, "The Angelic Conflict," "The End Rolls up to the Beginning," "The Holy Innocents of Bethlehem," and "Like Adam-Like Sparrow." Building on the earlier Brandon Shewings, Gyr Cot, Eriswell, and Lakenheath, Thetford Road inspires one to progress continually into the wonders of being a child of God.
