Nigel Warburton, freelance philosopher, is a hugely successful author known for his introductory books on philosophy, including Basic Philosophy or Thinking from A to Z, though his works also include several academic papers on aesthetics and applied ethics. He regularly teaches courses on philosophy and art at the Tate Modern and often contributes to BBC radio programs. He has a very popular weblog, Virtual Philosopher, and together with David Edmonds runs a podcast, Philosophy Bites, featuring interviews with significant contemporary philosophers that have been compiled into two books.
