Synopsis "Tourismus und Naturerleben: Eine Empirische Untersuchung in Hawai´I und im Englischen Garten (in German)"

Michael Höhne untersucht das touristische Verständnis von Natur und geht dabei den Fragen nach, wie Erholung in der Natur aussieht und wie Natur praktisch erzeugt und kommunikativ verarbeitet wird. Dazu unternimmt er eine interdisziplinär angelegte historische und systematische Rekonstruktion von Natursemantiken und wendet diese auf den Tourismus als Medium des Naturerlebens an. In einer qualitativ-empirischen Studie analysiert er anhand zweier Beispiele, des Urlaubszieles Hawai'i sowie des Englischen Gartens in München, den Reiz der Naturerfahrung und -wahrnehmung.
