Synopsis "Twenty Six Hours"

Bruce Bowman married into a fortune he can't afford to leave — his wife's family built the company, and the company owns him. Michelle is trapped a different way: a husband with a wandering eye and a boss with a Napoleon complex who thinks every late meeting is an invitation. When they meet at the bar car just after the California Zephyr pulls out of Denver Union Station, it's supposed to be nothing. A drink. A little chemistry. Two people killing time on a twenty-six-hour ride to nowhere they want to be. Then somebody makes a joke. What if we just... traded. By the time the westbound Zephyr climbs into the Rockies, the joke has stopped being funny — and started being a plan. Somewhere between Denver and the Sierra Nevada, Bruce and Michelle build a version of the perfect crime, timestamped hour by hour, alibi by alibi. All they have to do is survive the ride and never speak again.
