Abner Benaim
Abner Benaim, born in Panama in 1971, is a prominent director, producer, and screenwriter. He studied International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania and filmmaking at Camera Obscura in Tel Aviv. In 2004, he founded Apertura Films in Panama City, from where he has produced and directed various cinematic works.
Among his most recognized works are "Chance" (2009), a comedy that broke audience records in Panama, and "Invasion" (2014), a documentary about the U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989, which received the Audience Award at the Panama International Film Festival. Additionally, in 2019 he published "Linda y Guapo", a book that tells a love story between two young people in a world without mirrors or reflections.
