Alan Le May
Alan Le May (1899-1964) was an American writer and screenwriter known for his Western genre novels. Throughout his career, he blended historical fiction with the drama of the Old West, achieving a vivid and realistic style. His most notable work is The Searchers (Centauros del desierto, 1954), which inspired the iconic film directed by John Ford in 1956. Another of his significant novels is The Unforgiven (Los que no perdonan, 1957), which was also made into a movie in 1960 directed by John Huston.

In addition to his novels, Le May worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood, contributing to various productions in the genre. His literary legacy continues to be influential in Western literature and cinema, with stories that explore the American frontier and its conflicts.
