Alejandro Barros de la Cruz (Santiago, 1987) is a geographer, popularizer, and amateur historian, known as “The Archivist Barros”. In 2025 he published Between the Archives: From Geopolitics to Tiktok, a contemporary historical dissemination work that rescues little-known global curiosities. This non-fiction text has 224 pages and is published by Planeta.
Additionally, he is co-founder and host of the Chilean podcast Tomás is going to die (since 2019), alongside Edo Caroe and Tomás Leiva, where he discusses health, friendship, and society. His work combines historical and personal narrative. He has not received formal awards, but his book and podcast are highly valued for their originality, accessible style, and ability to engage young and informed audiences.
