Ana Karina López

Ana Karina López, born in Quito in 1968, is an Ecuadorian journalist with almost three decades of experience in the political field. She has worked in various newspapers and magazines as a reporter, editor, and columnist. Along with Mónica Almeida, co-author of "La revolución malograda. El correato por dentro" (2023), a research on Rafael Correa's regime.

They also collaborated on "El séptimo Rafael" (2017), an unauthorized biography of the former president. These works focus on the genre of political investigation and have been recognized for their depth and rigor. For her journalistic work, López has been awarded two Jorge Mantilla Ortega prizes, standing out in the country's political journalism. Her analytical approach and commitment to the truth have consolidated her as a relevant figure in Ecuadorian journalism.
