Ángela Vallvey Arévalo
Ángela Vallvey Arévalo (San Lorenzo de Calatrava, Ciudad Real, 1964) is a Spanish writer, poet, and journalist known for her literary work and her role in various media outlets
With a degree in Contemporary History from the University of Granada, Vallvey also studied Philosophy and Anthropology. She began her literary career as a youth novelist and soon excelled in poetry, winning the Jaén Poetry Prize in 1999 for El tamaño del universo and the Ateneo de Sevilla Prize in 2006 for Nacida en cautividad
Her novel Los estados carenciales (2002) earned her the Nadal Novel Prize, establishing her as one of the most prominent voices in contemporary Spanish narrative. Other notable works include A la caza del último hombre salvaje, translated into sixteen languages, and Muerte entre poetas, a finalist for the Planeta Prize in 2008
In addition to her literary work, Vallvey has contributed to media such as RNE, La Razón, Elle, and Mujer Hoy, and was awarded the Julio Camba Journalism Prize in 2010
