Arthur Larrue
Arthur Larrue was born in 1984 in Paris. After four years teaching French Literature at a university in Saint Petersburg, he published his first novel about contemporary artistic dissent in Russia. Due to this release, he had to leave the country and has since lived in various places across Europe. Beyond his own narrative work, he has also translated Gogol's classic The Nose. Larrue's stories, in addition to his two previous novels Partir en guerre (2014) and Orlov la nuit (2019), which have been praised by critics for their uniqueness and have been translated in six countries, lie between the poetic and the popular. With his latest work, La diagonal Alekhine, he brings back to life one of the greatest chess figures of all time.
