Camila Silva
Camila Silva is a Uruguayan writer born in Melo, Cerro Largo, in 2001. From a young age, she used writing as a tool to process her emotions and get to know herself, developing a poetic style characterized by the use of metaphors. In 2021, she published her first novel, Between Clocks, a fiction work that explores the relationship between love and time through the story of Lina, a young woman struggling to rebuild her life after a personal tragedy. The novel was well received, achieving sales abroad and establishing Silva as an emerging author in Uruguayan literature. In 2023, she released her second novel, Between Silences, which follows the story of Cecilia Borac, a famous writer who uses her gift to heal others while facing her own wounds. Currently, Silva is working on a third novel that will close the trilogy started with Between Clocks, delving into themes of self-love, personal improvement, and the search for identity. Despite her youth, Camila Silva has managed to position herself as a prominent voice in contemporary Uruguayan literature, sensitively exploring topics such as mental health, mourning, and resilience.
