Camila Sosa Villada
(1982, Córdoba, Argentina) studied four years of Social Communication and another four years of Theater at the National University of Córdoba. In 2009, she premiered her first show, Carnes tolendas, a scenic portrait of a transvestite. She is the author of the poetry book La novia de Sandro (2015-2020), the essay El viaje inútil (2018), the novel Las malas (2019) and the storybook Soy una tonta por quererte (2022). For Las malas, she received the international awards Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz 2020, Finestres de Narrativa 2020, and the Grand Prix de l´Héroïne Madame Figaro 2021, and was considered one of the best novels published in 2020. It has been translated into more than twenty languages.
