Christoph Wolff (Solingen, 1940), musicologist and professor at Harvard University, is one of the most celebrated specialists in Bach and Mozart. He has published, among other titles, Bach: Essays on His Life and Music (1991), Mozart’s Requiem (1994), The New Bach Reader (1998), Johann Sebastian Bach: The Learned Musician (2000), for which he was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Mozart at the Threshold of His Prime (2013; Acantilado, 2018) and The Musical Universe of Bach: The Composer and His Work (2020; Acantilado, 2025)
