Claudio Burgaleta
Claudio M. Burgaleta, SJ, is a Jesuit priest and theologian born in Cuba, who joined the Society of Jesus in 1980. He earned a PhD in systematic and historical theology at Boston College in 1996 and has taught at various Jesuit universities in the United States. He is currently an associate professor of theology at the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education at Fordham University.
Among his notable works are "Manual de los sacramentos para los católicos de hoy" (2010), genre: sacramental theology, and "La fe de los hispanos: La diversidad religiosa de los pueblos latinoamericanos" (2009), genre: religious studies. Additionally, he has written a biography titled "José de Acosta, S.J. (1540–1600): His Life and Thought" (1999), genre: historical biography. His academic work focuses on Ignatian spirituality and social apostolate, contributing to the understanding of faith and religious diversity in Latin America.
