Costa Alcalá
Costa Alcalá is the literary pseudonym of the duo formed by Geòrgia Costa and Fernando Alcalá, Spanish authors specialized in young adult and fantasy literature. Their most recent work, The Hunter's Moon (2023), is a dark fantasy novel set in an artistic rehabilitation center in Ireland, where five youths face secrets, traumas, and a supernatural threat. This book, with a dark academia aesthetic and elements of Irish folklore, has been well received for its setting and handling of themes such as mental health and identity.
Among their previous works are the trilogy The Second Revolution (2017–2019), Good Sisters (2019), and The Music of Prodigies (2020), all within the fantasy genre and signed jointly. Although they have not yet received notable literary awards, their accessible style and focus on current issues have earned them a solid base of readers.
