Cristopher Paolini
(California, 1983) Graduated from high school at 15 through a correspondence course from the American School of Chicago, Illinois and by 19 he was a recognized writer, holding the Guinness World Record as the youngest author of a bestselling series. With his parents' help, he published the first volume of Eragon at 15, until Penguin Random House bought the rights and published it massively. In 2004, it went on sale and became a success, ranking among the New York Time bestsellers. It has been translated into more than 40 languages. 20th Century Fox acquired the rights to make the film adaptation.
