Emilio Lome
Emilio Ángel Lome Serrano, born in Iguala, Guerrero, in 1965, is a distinguished Mexican narrator, composer, and playwright, specialized in children's and youth art and culture. His academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Throughout his career, he has published more than eighty books aimed at young audiences, collaborating with prestigious publishing houses in Mexico, Latin America, and the United States.
Among his most notable works is "El zoológico de los monstruos de Juan 'Mostro' niño" (2021), which earned him the El Barco de Vapor Award in 2021. Additionally, in 2020, he received the Bellas Artes Award for Children's Story "Juan de la Cabada" for his contribution to children's literature. His work is characterized by addressing themes that rescue Mexican identity and promote imagination in young readers.
