He holds a Master's in Economics with a specialization in Contemporary Latin American Studies from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and is a historian from the National University of Colombia. He has developed a passionate interest in 20th-century Colombian history, Latin American populism, and neoliberal policies in Latin America. He is currently part of the research line in Political and Social History at the National University of Colombia, from which he has contributed to the organization of significant academic dissemination events.
