Joan Samson
Joan Samson (Pennsylvania, 1937 - Cambridge, 1976) was an American writer whose only published novel, The Auctioneer, was released in 1976, shortly before her death from cancer. The Auctioneer, a story about a community shattered by one person, has been translated into Catalan, Spanish, Dutch, and Italian and is considered one of the cult horror novels of the seventies, with over a million copies sold.
