Joaquim Soler i Ferret
Joaquim Soler i Ferret (Barcelona, 1940–1993) was a Catalan writer and literary critic, member of the Ofèlia Dracs collective, dedicated to promoting genre narrative in Catalan. His work spans novels, poetry, essays, and children's literature, characterized by experimental, playful, and transgressive prose. Among his most notable titles are Laberint sense (quasi plagi) (1978), Camil i Adelf (1980), La prova del mirall (1981), and Una furtiva llàgrima (1982), which received the Ciudad de Palma Novel Award. He also wrote Cambra de bany (1985), awarded the Prudenci Bertrana Prize, and A una sola veu (1992), which won the Víctor Català Prize.

Soler i Ferret was an active figure in Catalan cultural life, collaborating with media such as Diari de Barcelona, Avui, and Catalunya Ràdio, where he directed the program La porta dels somnis. His literature, influenced by surrealism and counterculture, challenges traditional narrative conventions. His legacy has been claimed in works like La verda és porta (2021) by Joan Todó, which analyzes his role in the Catalan literary transition.
