Juan del Val
(Madrid, 1970) has worked in many places: on construction sites (not theater), in newspapers, in magazines, on radio, and on television; among other media, at Radio Nacional de España, Televisión Española, Canal 9, Melodía FM, Onda Cero, Telecinco, and Antena 3. He is one of the most recognizable faces on El Hormiguero, La Roca, and El desafío. Alongside Nuria Roca, he has co-authored Para Ana, de tu muerto and Lo inevitable del amor. In 2017, he published his first solo novel, Parece mentira, which was enthusiastically received by readers. In 2019, with Candela, he won the Primavera Novel Prize. In 2021, Delparaíso became the narrative phenomenon of the year.
