Karin Smirnoff
(Sweden, 1965), photographer and journalist by training. She entered Creative Writing at Lund University and there, in 2018, wrote what would become her debut, Jeg tog ned til bror, the first part of her celebrated literary trilogy, which she would conclude in 2020. The series was magnificently received among readers, with over 700,000 copies sold, as well as excellent reviews and a nomination for the prestigious August Prize. In the Millennium Series, initiated by Stieg Larsson in 2005 and continued by David Lagercrantz, Karin Smirnoff takes up the mantle from her predecessors and continues one of the most outstanding literary phenomena in the history of contemporary world literature.
